A relative newcomer to Canadian cowboy country. Arrived in Caroline Alberta from Ontario in June 2016, relocated to Spruce Grove in July 2019 to have better access to public transit and medical care. Currently in a senior high-rise in Edmonton since September 2021. Unhappy with city life.
Officially retired and trying to figure out what that entails. There has to be more to life than downsizing, knitting, and watching videos. Writing again after a hiatus of ten years. I would love to become the Grandma Moses of literary fiction. Then people would feel obligated to listen to what I have to say instead of offering me soothing medication and telling me to take a nap.
Published in small press publications no one has heard of, most of which no longer exist. Winner of the Northern Ontario Poetry Contest in 2002.
If I had absolute power, I would abolish private motor vehicles and initiate a Revolution of Values that would give people more to live for than power, property and prestige.
Blogs are my playground, so don't expect reliability or consistency.
